'MĀRA'
The variety was created from open-pollinated seedlings of the variety ♀ 'Catawbiense Grandiflorum' (1963). The variety was selected in 1969, registered in 2015. Breeder Rihards Kondratovičs.
Blooms in late May, early June. Growth is bushy, symmetrical. 20-year-old shrub 2.4 m high and 2.4 m wide.
The variety has good winter hardiness. Useful for cultivation throughout the territory of Latvia.
'MIKS'
The variety was created by crossing ♀ ‘Purple Splendour’ x ♂ ‘A. Silva Tarouca’. Crossbreeding in 1984. The variety was selected in 1995, registered in 2010. Breeder Rihards Kondratovičs.
Blooms in late May, early June. Bushes are medium wide, symmetrical. 25-year-old bushes reach a height of 2.9 m, a width of 2.8 m.
The variety has good winter hardiness. Recommended for cultivation in western and central Latvia.
'MONTA'
The variety was obtained by crossing ♀ 'Britannia' x ♂ 'Mrs R.G.Shaw'. Crossbreeding in 1974. The variety was selected in 1982, registered in 2016. Breeder Rihards Kondratovičs.
Blooms in early June. The growth is wide bushy, densely branched. In 15 years the bush is 1.4 m high and 1.5 m wide.
The variety is suitable for cultivation in the central and western parts of Latvia.v
'OGRE'S WHITE DREAM'
The variety was created from the 1994 seed plants of the variety ♀ 'Yellow Gay'. Selected in 2004, registered in 2014. Breeder Rihards Kondratovičs.
Blooms in late May, early June. Bushy growth. 20-year-old plants 2.5 m high and 2.5 m wide.
Winter hardiness of the variety is very good, therefore suitable for cultivation throughout the territory of Latvia.
'PETER'S YELLOW'
The variety was created in a collaborative project with the University of Helsinki. ♀ Rh. brachycarpum ssp. tigerstedtii x ♂ unknown yellow. The cross was made in 1995 at the Mustila Arboretum in Finland. Pollen was received from the USA. The variety was selected in 2007 at the Rhododendron Nursery “Babīte” from plants planted in 1998. Registered in the International Rhododendron Register in 2023. Named in honor of the author of the variety, Peter Tigerstedt, who passed away in 2022.
Blooms in late May, early June. The variety is characterized by a strong-growing shrub with large, dark green leaves, funnel-shaped flowers in light yellow with gray-brown spots on the upper corollas. In twenty-seven years, the shrub is 2.5 m high and 2.3 m wide.
One of the few elepidote rhododendron varieties with yellow flowers that has very good winter hardiness.
'PROFESORS KONDRATOVIČS'
The variety was created in 1983 by crossing Rh. catawbiense v. album x 'Britannia'. Selected in 1990, registered in 2017. Breeder Rihards Kondratovičs.
Blooms in the second half of May. The growth is wide, bushy, densely branched. In thirty years it reaches 2.2 m in height and 2.7 m in width.

'REKTORS'
The variety was created from the cross of ♀ 'Catawbiense Grandiflorum' x ♂ 'Mrs. P. D. Williams' hybrid seedlings. The cross was made in 1973. The variety was selected in 1982, registered in 2015. Breeder Rihards Kondratovičs.
Blooms in late May, early June. Growth is broadly bushy. 20-year-old shrub 1.9 m high and 2.1 m wide.

'ROBIS'
The variety was created from ‘Catawbiense Grandiflorum’ seedlings in 1967. The variety was selected in 1973, registered in 2007. Breeder Rihards Kondratovičs.

'SOFIJA'
The variety was created by crossing ♀ ‘Catawbiense Grandiflorum’ x ♂ ‘Purple Splendour’. The crossing was carried out in 1974. The variety was selected in 1984, registered in 2010. Breeder Rihards Kondratovičs.
Blooms in late May, early June. The bush is loose with curved branches, therefore pruning is recommended. At the age of twenty-five, 2.7 m high and 2.7 m wide.
Winter hardiness is satisfactory. Suitable for cultivation in the central and western parts of Latvia.
'SPRĪDĪTIS'
The variety was created from the 1957 open-pollinated seedlings of 'Catawbiense Grandiflorum'. The variety was selected in 1967, registered in 2000. Breeder Rihards Kondratovičs.
The variety blooms in late May, early June, very abundantly. The variety forms dense, compact bushes. Twenty-year-old plants 1.8 m high and 3 m wide.
Winter hardiness is very good, the variety is suitable for cultivation throughout the territory of Latvia.
'TALSI'
The variety was isolated in 2004 from ♀’Irina’ seed plants, registered in the International Rhododendron Register in 2023. Breeder Rihards Kondratovičs.
The variety is medium late flowering, blooms in the first half of June. It is characterized by delicate pink flowers with yellow-green spots on the upper petals. At nineteen years, the bush is 2 m high and 2 m wide.
Winter hardiness is very good.
'TĀLAVIJA'
The variety was created by crossing ♀ H-75/17 x ♂ ‘Marka’. Crossbreeding from 1985. Selected in 1996, registered in 2010. Breeder Rihards Kondratovičs.
The variety blooms in late May, early June. The growth is narrowly bushy. 25-year-old shrub 3.1 m high and 2.3 m wide.

'TETEREVI LATVIJAI'

'VILHELMĪNE PETKEVIČS'
The variety was obtained by crossing the Yakushima rhododendron ♀ Rh. yakushimanum 'Koichiro Wada' x ♂ 'Purple Splendour'. The crossing was carried out in 1974. The variety was selected in 1987, registered in 2012. Breeder Rihards Kondratovičs.
Blooms in late May, early June. The variety forms a beautiful, compact bush without shaping. 20-year-old bushes reach 2 m in height, 2.5 m in width.

'VIZMA'
